Who are we

Hi! My name is Laura and I’m a French neurodivergent student and traveller.

Why this website?

To be honest, this website all started off as a production for an exam. It wasn’t supposed to be real, but I got carried away with the idea and here we are. Hopefully, everything here is legal and clear. I have no idea what I’m doing. So why this website? I myself am AUDHD and I love traveling (special interest, day!). I do, however, find that there is not enough specific information on how things work in different countries, all the social rules, the things that are supposed to be obvious and natural but aren’t for me! I am on a mission to fill in this gap and give clear information about what to expect exactly, from someone who needs to prepare absolutely everything in advance.

Why the ducks?

My mum’s (genius?) idea. In England, there is a children’s song called Five Little Ducks. It is a song about ducks going over the hills and gaining independence while traveling (according to my mum). The ducks all go off one after the other, showing that they have different rhythms and each have different needs. The first duck is more adventurous than the last, who needs reassurance. It describes the experience of neurodivergente travelers. Plus, ducks are cool.
